Four words, sliced and slightly out of sync: exactly how most mornings boot up.

This slogan mug carries The Glitch Is the System in stuttering block letters on glossy black ceramic. It's made for gamers, developers and anyone who spends the day on screens and has stopped expecting things to run exactly as planned.

The design: a slogan mug panel caught mid-glitch

A dark charcoal-navy panel sits on the mug, its straight edges visible against the glossy black body. From behind the center, angular shards in hot pink, sky blue and mint green burst outward, with thin streaks of colored light shooting toward the corners.

Over the burst, a jagged black slab holds the words THE / GLITCH / IS THE / SYSTEM in four stacked lines of bold, rounded white capitals, with GLITCH and SYSTEM the largest. Thin horizontal cuts slice through every letter, and faint red and blue edges shift each line slightly out of register, the way a screen stutters when the signal slips. Speed streaks break out from the left and right sides of the slab.

The line flips the usual complaint. The glitch is not something that breaks the system; it is the system: the lag, the crash, the odd workaround that quietly becomes how things are done. Anyone who has spent a day patching, debugging or replaying the same stage knows the feeling.

Sturdy and sleek for the daily refill

• Sturdy ceramic body with a sleek glossy finish that catches the light on a desk
• Lead-free and BPA-free material, so your coffee or tea only touches what it should
• Goes in the dishwasher after a long shift and in the microwave when the coffee has gone cold
• A side handle makes a full cup easy to carry from the kitchen to the desk

Who it's for

Gamers, developers, QA testers, IT support staff and anyone whose job includes explaining why something broke. It sits happily next to a keyboard at the office or on a home gaming desk. Give it for a coworker's birthday, a Secret Santa swap or a friend starting a first tech job.

Quick answers

Does the phrase come from a game, film or song?

No game, character or logo is named on it, just a short line about glitches running the show. The lettering borrows from glitch art, with sliced letters and offset color edges.

How does the art sit on a black mug?

The design has its own dark rectangular background, so you'll see the panel's straight edges against the glossy black body instead of the art fading into the mug.

Is the 15 oz much bigger?

It holds four more ounces and stands a little taller, but keeps the same width, so it feels like the same mug with a deeper fill. Handy for long work sessions or a big tea.
