Two speakers, one carry handle, and a tape already waiting behind the little door.

Boombox Starburst puts a retro portable cassette radio on a boombox sticker, tilted as if someone just set it down on the curb. Mixtape makers and radio-dial spinners will know the shape at a glance, and it slides neatly into a music fan's birthday envelope.

The design: a tape deck caught mid-burst

A boombox takes up the center of the square, drawn at a slight tilt in three-quarter view so you see its blue front and one black side. A carry handle, a blue bar with cream ends, runs across the top. Two round speakers with black cones, yellow centers and yellow rings fill the front, with a smaller round dial tucked into each upper corner.

Between the speakers, a yellow tuner strip with a red needle line sits above a row of small buttons, a cassette door showing two reels and a coral strip of keys. Behind the whole machine, a coral-red spiky starburst flares outward, flecked with short yellow dashes and ringed by yellow teardrop splash marks.

A three-word slogan in big cream rounded capitals frames the scene, one word arched across the top and two along the bottom, each letter slightly uneven as if cut from paper. Everything is flat retro cartoon work in cream, coral, yellow, light blue and black on a solid dark navy ground. It recalls the years when music was something you carried, rewound and recorded off the radio one song at a time.

A boombox sticker printed edge to edge on solid vinyl

• Full-square artwork, corners rounded off: the printed background reaches the kiss-cut border on all four sides
• Nothing underneath shows, which is handy when you want to retire an older decal or cover a painted mark
• Goes on in a quick, easy pass with no bubbles left behind
• Durable vinyl, a match for things you handle regularly
• Its only prep: a clean surface

Who it's for

Cassette-era kids, mixtape makers, radio listeners who still love a dial, and anyone whose first stereo had a handle. Every photo shows the sticker lying flat, so where it lands is your choice: the back of a laptop screen, a hard-shell record case or a studio notebook's cover all give it a smooth, clean home. Pass it along with concert tickets, a thrifted tape, a send-off card for the class DJ or a thank-you for whoever builds your playlists.

Quick answers

How does the boombox print on the 15″×3.75″ option?

As one square, about 3¾″ (9.5 cm) on each side, placed at the center of the sheet. The remaining three options are all artwork, border to border, at about 3″, 4″ and 5½″ wide.

Does it need a pale surface to stand out?

No. The square behind the boombox is printed and finished with a light border, so the artwork keeps its contrast whatever shade the lid is.

What music does the boombox bring to mind?

The drawing is the player itself, with a tuner strip and a tape in the door, so it fits anything that filled your cassettes: radio hits, rock, hip-hop or a mix a friend made for you.

Why do the photos show flowers and confetti?

They belong to the photographer's set. The sticker's own artwork is the boombox scene; the flowers, cloth and confetti around it are set dressing.
