Down is not done.
Respawn & Rise belongs with the gaming posters for room walls that need a comeback message, setting two stacked lines of type over a glowing city street seen from far above. Made to order on heavy matte stock, it comes in five squares for desks, shelves and stream backdrops.
The design: a comeback written over the city
RESPAWN fills the top line and & RISE sits right under it, both in huge white condensed capitals. Each letter carries a chromatic shadow in pink, cyan and yellow, offset just enough to look like the screen is still catching up. The words rest on dark bands, and horizontal pink and yellow speed streaks shoot out to the left and right, so the type seems to be launching off the page. Both lines climb slightly toward the right.
Behind the lettering, the view drops into a deep teal-blue street canyon. Tall buildings rise on both sides, a tower stands in the distance, a billboard screen glows at the upper left and small lit signs dot the facades, while the street runs down to the bottom edge. Fine pink and cyan diagonal light trails cut across the whole scene. Every player knows the moment the timer runs out and you drop back in; the second line turns that moment into a promise to get back up stronger.
Paper that keeps the city detail sharp
- Sizes, all square: 10″×10″ (25.4 × 25.4 cm), 12″×12″ (30.5 × 30.5 cm), 14″×14″ (35.6 × 35.6 cm), 16″×16″ (40.6 × 40.6 cm) and 18″×18″ (45.7 × 45.7 cm); the whole street scene shows on each one
- Non-glossy 10.3 mil stock at 189 g/m², so a lamp or window won't wash out the white headline
- A bright white base (104% ISO brightness) lets the offset pink, cyan and yellow edges stay sharp against the dark buildings
- At 94% opacity, a patterned or painted wall won't ghost through the skyline
- Made with paper sourced from Japan and sent unframed
Who it's for
Ranked grinders, players who have rage-quit and come back the next night, streamers who want a message behind the mic, and students or new hires who think about life in respawns and checkpoints. It works in a gaming room, a bedroom, a dorm or a home office. Give it for a birthday, a new job or a move into a first apartment.
Quick answers
Does a figure appear anywhere in the art?
None at all. The art is the two lines of type over the street view, so the message carries the whole piece.
Does it fit outside a game room?
It does. Away from a gaming desk, the words read as everyday motivation, so it suits a home gym corner, a study wall or an office where a reminder to keep going helps.
How big should I go above a desk?
Between a monitor and a shelf, 14″×14″ (35.6 × 35.6 cm) sits comfortably. Over a wide desk, 16″×16″ (40.6 × 40.6 cm) fills the space, and 10″×10″ (25.4 × 25.4 cm) suits a bookshelf.
What frame looks right with it?
A slim dark metal or wood frame repeats the shadowed buildings, while a pale mat adds breathing room around the busy street view. Choose a frame made for your square size.
